The integral role woodworking played in 1800s pioneer life will be explored at "Woodworking Weekend," from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5 at Historic Murphy’s Landing in Shakopee. Woodworking Weekend is $8.50 for persons 12 and older, $7 for children ages 3-11 and seniors. Historic Murphy’s Landing is located at 2187 East Highway 101 in Shakopee. From Highway 169, take Highway 101 west approximately four miles. The entrance is located on the north side of the highway, just west of Valleyfair.
