This month, the city of Jordan renewed its lease for a senior center in the Schule Haus senior citizens apartment building.

Jordan agreed to pay $4,500 a year to the Schule Haus. The lease runs for the next five years, according to the minutes of the April 7 city council meeting, which were approved this week.

Jordan should be proud of it’s eighth-grade students, Jordan School Board Member Deb Pauly said.

The students walked from the middle school to the assisted living building the week before Christmas to sing carols to the residents, said Pauly, the manager of the Schule Haus.

“They were absolutely amazing,” she said.

After caroling, the students spent some time with the residents and talked with them.
