Tonight, the Jordan City Council entered into an agreement with Xcel Energy for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of 14 new streetlights along Highway 282.
The city will pay $116,568 to go with a new style of streetlight, according to the agreement, which passed 5-0. Councilmembers David Hanson and Barry Ullmann were absent from the meeting. Xcel will maintain the streetlights for 25 years, City Engineer Carol Caron said.
