In her written report to the Jordan School Board, Community Education and Recreation Director Brenda Lieske highlighted several winter programs that are beginning already.
“Abrakadoodle, karate, and mad science have been consistently full for the past few quarters,” Lieske wrote.
She also reported that community education is in the beginning stages of planning for an extended-day program for students in Rainbow preschool.
Jordan School Board Member Joe Benko used part of his monthly report to the board to praise the leadership skills of Community Education Director Brenda Lieske.
He’s had the chance to work with Lieske in meetings over his years on the board and as an educator in the district, Benko said, and she does an excellent job running her meetings.
“She’s a fabulous facilitator,” he said.
Jordan Community Education and Recreation introduced its fall intern to the Jordan School Board at the board’s Sept. 10 meeting.
