This just in: my wedding is only three days from now. That’s essentially a long weekend. I wish there was a word to describe this cocktail mix of emotions I’m feeling right now. It’s a weird mix of excitement, happiness, fear, joy, anticipation, and about 100 other emotions that I can’t even begin to describe.

With all the year-end attention focused on the “best of” 2007 (including the Jordan Independent’s own chronology of last year), I got to thinking about how many things I like best from the last year that never get mentioned. So here are a few of the best things about 2007 in my opinion:

I have a desk calendar – the kind where you pull off a large sheet of paper for each month. Theoretically, it’s supposed to help me plan long-term projects and to keep track of my appointments.
