My current favorite Minnesota Twin is Stillwater native Glen Perkins.
How do the Twins always seem to find great, young pitchers to pick up the rotation part of the way through every season? Amazing, really.
After an excellent spring training, Perkins should've made the rotation, but he went to Triple A instead. Now, I doubt he'll give up his spot as a starter -- and Boof Bonser, who had supposedly been ready to be the No. 2 man, is headed to the bullpen. That's a good move, and despite a less-than-spectacular outing against the New York Yankees in his last game, Perkins should continue thrive in a role as a starter.
