The Jordan girls golf team made history on Monday, May 19 at the subsection golf tournament.

The girls finished second in the tournament and advanced to the Section 2AA tournament with a chance at going to state.

This is the first time a girls golf team from Jordan has advanced to the second round of a section tournament.

The Jaguars shot a 415 to finish behind Waseca, who shot a 392.

Erin Zahler finished fifth in the tournament with a score of 95 to lead the Jaguars.

She was followed by Alicia Smith's 104, Amanda Hunstad's 107, Erin Wildberg's 109, Victoria Swiontek's 114 and Amanda Dietel's 119.

The Section 2AA tournament will take place on Tuesday, May 27 at Dodge Country Club in Dodge Center.
