The Jordan Fire Department will celebrate 125 years of service with a celebration May 17. Here’s a schedule of events for the festivities:
- 11:30 a.m. – Food booths open
- 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. – Registration for the parade opens
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Jumper and slide opens and then closes for the parade
- 1 p.m. – Parade begins at the fire station
- 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Fire apparatus on display
- 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Kids activities available
- 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Jumper and slide open
- 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Rock wall open
- 2:30 p.m. – Mayor Ron Jabs welcome speech
- 3 p.m. – Water fights between fire department teams begin
- 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Peddle car races
- 7 p.m. – Drawings to give away two peddle cars to participants
- 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. – Dance and live music provided by Robby Vee.
Food and beverages will be sold throughout the day. The schedule of events could be changed due to weather conditions, and a notice of the new schedule would be posted at the fire station.
