The Jordan
girls golf team and Erin Zahler both finished second in the Minnesota River
Conference.
Both Zahler and the Jaguars wrapped up second place on Monday at
Valley View Golf Club in Belle Plaine in the final Minnesota Rive Conference
tournament.
As a team, the Jaguars shot a 425 to finish second in the
tournament. Holy Family shot a 394 to win the tournament and clinch the MRC
title.
Zahler shot a 104 to wrap up second place in the individual
conference tournament. She shot a 48 on the front nine and finished with a 56.
Alicia Smith had the best score of the day for the Jaguars, as
she finished with a 102. Other Jaguars scores were Erin Wildberg with a 110, Amanda
Dietel with a 111, Amanda Hunstad with a 117, and Victoria Swiontek with a 118.
As for the Hubmen, they finished in sixth place in the
conference after shooting a 386, which put them in fourth place for Monday’s
tournament.
Nick Ryan played the best, as he shot a 90. He shot a 46 on the
front nine and came home with a 44.
Lucas Cecka was next with a 97. Jordan Lachelt shot an 100, with
James Menke finishing with an 101. Marcus Swiontek shot a 103, and Jacob Zahler
shot a 106.
On Thrusday, May 7, the Hubmen competed at the Glencoe Country
Club in another MRC tournament and finished in sixth place. They shot a
nine-hole score of 186.
Individuals scores were Lucas Cecka 44, James Menke 44, Jordan
Lachelt 48, Cole Elliott 50, Trevor Johnson 50, and Jacob Zahler 51.
