It was a perfect weekend for the Jordan Brewers.
The Brewers won all three games this past weekend and improved
their record to 4-0 on the season.
On Friday night, the Brewers crushed St. Michael 9-1 at the Mini
Met.
Adam Hoffman and Trent Simek had two RBIs while Jeremy Negen,
Cullen Bahn, Paul Buss, Kirk Hogendorf drove in single runs.
Trent Bohnsack pitched seven innings giving up zero runs on only
three hits while striking out 10.
Mike Beckius pitched the final two innings.
On Saturday, Jordan
traveled to Winthrop and came home
with a 10-4 victory. Bahn and Buss each hit home runs in the victory. Jason
Chalupsky pitched all nine innings giving up four runs on nine hits and
striking out 13.
They followed that up with a 2-1, 10 inning win over River
Valley League foe Waconia.
“Overall I thought we played extremely
well,” Chalupsky said. “ The first two games we hit the ball all over the
yard. The third game was not very good
up at the plate, which I think was mainly because of having to play three games
in three days. Pitching and fielding were extremely good all weekend. It was a tough weekend playing three games
this early in the season, but I think the team handled it very well.”
