Jordan junior T.J. Oakes pitched a perfect game on Wednesday afternoon against Montgomery-Lonsdale at the Mini Met as the Hubmen won 8-0.

In seven innings, Oakes faced 21 Red Bird batters and all 21 were put down in order. He struck out 11 of the 21 batters faced. He threw only 65 pitches in the game.

"He threw the ball super today," head coach Kyle Johnson said. "He was ehead in the count all game and set up his pitches very well. The defense was solid also with nice plays by outfielders Tyler Adamek and Joe Buresh and infielders Todd Garnhardt and Shane Aamodt."

Johnson said the last perfect game thrown by a Jordan baseball player was T.J.'s brother, Tyler. Tyler is currently pitching for the University of Minnesota.

The Hubmen scored six runs in the first inning on five hits to give Oakes a comfortable lead.
