Jordan’s Erin Zahler broke her own school record on Monday, when she shot a 43 during a nine-hole Minnesota River Conference tournament at the Ridges of Sand Creek golf course.
She beat the record by one shot. By shooting the 43, Zahler moved into second place overall for individuals in the Minnesota River Conference.
As a team, the Jaguars shot a 206 and finished three shots behind Holy Family in second place.
The Jaguars remain in second place in the conference.
After Zahler’s 43, Amanda Hunstad shot a 50, Amanda Dietel shot a 56, Victoria Swiontek shot a 57, Erin Wildberg finished with a 58, and Alicia Smith shot a 59.
Norwood tournament
Last Thursday was a great day for the Jordan golf teams.
Both the girls and boys golf teams won the Norwood Invitational.
The Jaguars finished with a score of 409 to win by 17 strokes. Belle Plaine was second with a score of 426 followed by Norwood-Young America's 543.
Erin Zahler continued her strong play by shooting a 96 and finishing second. Teammate Alicia Smith shot a 98 to finish third. Erin Wildberg was next for the Jaguars with a 106, followed by Victoria Swiontek's 109, Amanda Hunstad's 116, and Amanda Dietel's 117.
The Hubmen fired a team score of 372 to win, six strokes in front of Sibley East. Norwood-Young America was third at 382.
Marcus Swiontek finished third with a score of 90. Lucas Cecka was fourth with a 91. James Menke finished with a 94, followed by Nick Ryan's 97, Jacob Zahler's 103, and Cole Elliott's 111.
