Jake and Tina Bastyr of Lonsdale announce the birth of their twin daughters Bailey Ann and McKenzie Rae Bastyr on March 18, 2008. Bailey was born at 10:33 p.m. and McKenzie was born at 10:35 p.m. at Northfield Hospital.

Bailey weighed 5 pounds pounds, 11 ounces, and was 19 inches long. She has dark blue eyes and black hair.

McKenzie weighed 4 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 18 inches long. She has dark blue eyes and brown hair.

Their grandparents are Kathy Bastyr of Underwood and Ronald Bastyr of Jordan, Marvin and Cathy Kes of Jordan, and Greg and Deb Simon of Minneapolis. Their great-grandparents are Manon Simon of New Prague, Robert and Phyllis Mannie of Grand Rapids, and Tom and Catherine Kes of Jordan.

The babies will be baptized June 22, 2008, in Lonsdale.
