Jordan High School students had a chance to try out a new product called the Wave on Wednesday.

The Wave is like a skate board, but with only two wheels. And the wheels spin all the way around. If that sounds hard or confusing, that’s because it kind of is. Will Stoltz of Street Surfing, the company that produces the Wave and brought it to JHS, explained how the boards work:

The students took to them quickly, said high school gym teacher Bryan Martin. After starting out with partners holding them upright, almost every student was up on their own within 30 minutes of trying the board for the first time.

The boards help the students with endurance in making them move, and with coordination and balance, Martin said. Besides that, they were fun. The students even had a chance to win one of the boards at the end of each class period.
