If students get what they want, Shakopee schools could have a boys swim team, girls competitive dance and boys and girls lacrosse teams sometime in the future.

Athletic Director John Janke told members of the Shakopee School Board last Monday that results of a student survey indicate these are activities students in grades 6-11 would like to see added to co-curricular offerings.

Would some of these extras work in Jordan, as well? What is the demand like for these types of sports in Shakopee's neighbor to the south?
