Community Action Program Agency dining services are available at the Schule Haus, 100 Fourth St. in Jordan. There are also dining sites throughout Scott, Carver and Dakota counties.
Dining services are available to adults ages 60 and older, and a donation of $3 for each meal is encouraged.
The following is the dining menu for CAP Agency senior dining sites:
Monday, March 31: Barley vegetable soup, sliced beef on a wheat bun, mustard packet, mandarin oranges, and a lemon bar. Options: Soup (salt reduced), vanilla pudding (reduced calorie dessert)
Tuesday, April 1: April Fools Day. Swedish meatballs with gravy, whole-wheat noodles, glazed carrots, coleslaw, multi-grain dinner rolls, and Tapioca pudding. Options: Gravy (salt reduced), pudding (reduced calorie desserts)
Wednesday, April 2: Herbed rubbed pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, diced squash, a rye dinner roll, and a banana. Options: Turkey (salt reduced) with gravy (salt reduced)
Thursday, April 3: Healthy baked fish with dill sauce or beef patty with ketchup, baked potato with margarine, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, and pear crisp. Options: Sliced pears (reduced calorie dessert)
Friday, April 4: Tell a joke day. Sausage pizza casserole, country-blend vegetables, applesauce, wheat bread, and a Snickerdoodle cookie. Options: Beef pizza casserole (salt reduced), ranger cookie (reduced calorie dessert)
Meals include 1-percent milk and margarine. Anyone on a salt-restricted diet and/or reduced calorie diet should inform the site coordinator so the appropriate food can be delivered. The senior dining program uses only fresh, light or juice-packed fruits. Vegetables are served without added salt or fat.
