Heard an interesting article recently outlining the need for re-implementing drug and alcohol testing for all welfare recipients.

I work for a company that requires drug testing to remain employed there. I pay taxes, at an alarming rate, to a Government that decides seemingly arbitrarily where those monies go. A great portion of those tax dollars go to our states welfare program. While I am not entirely against welfare, I do believe welfare money should go to take care of the things it was originally design to take care of; children. Not the drug and alcohol habits of the parents that receive them. Implement testing for EVERY welfare recipient. Pass, you get the financial support you need to get your family on the right track; fail, the state welfare check (Our tax dollars), you do not receive.
