The other day in church, song "Your Little Ones, Dear Lord" touched me. It was the writing of this hymn that makes me feel close to God. These are some of the words that had particular impressions on me:

- "Our little ones, dear Lord, are we ..." 

- "... enlighten every soul and mind, that we the way to you may find ..."

- "... kiss the ground before your feet ..."

- "Oh, draw us wholly to you, Lord, and to us all your grace accord; true faith and love to us impart, that we may hold you in our heart."

- "Until at last we too proclaim, with all your saints, your glorious name; in paradise our songs renew, and praise you as the angels do."

This song drips of pure theology. It points to the fact that we are so small, receiving all our knowledge and wisdom from God, kneeling down before him to kiss the mere ground on which our Lord walks, and striving to make the best of this earth as we look forward to a perfect future with Christ.

Often I wonder what heaven is going to be like, but I know it will involve a place where I am like the angels -- praising God until eternity.
