Minnesota Timberwolf Al Jefferson has quietly shown up among the National Basketball Association's statistical leaders this season.
In fact, he's sneaking up on the franchise player he replaced.
With 19.8 points per game, Jefferson sits at 22nd in scoring. He's sandwiched between Tony Parker and Rashad Lewis on the leader board, three spots and 1.0 PPG behind Boston Celtic Kevin Garnett.
And with 11.0 rebounds per game, Jefferson ranks 10th, five spots and 1.1 RPG behind Garnett.
The Timberwolves knew what they were doing when they traded for Jefferson. It's debateable whether they knew what they were doing when they offered up Garnett in exchange. Regardless, AJ is a good player I'm glad to watch.
