225 Water Street, a Creative Arts & Holding Company that specializes in all things creative, has opened in Jordan, Minnesota.

We love to share our stories about breathing life into the ruins of the past, by creating Memoryware...a unique name used for Pique Assiette mosaic art.

The impulse to collect things is rooted deep in the human psyche and the average knick-knack cupboard is chalk full of amazing treasures that can take on a whole new life.

While no two pieces are ever alike, the materials you collect, from your past, will inspire you to look at things just a little differently. Don't limit yourself...nothing is set in stone until you decide it's time.

Once you have gathered your materials, you'll discover that every shard conjures up images of family gatherings, marriages, births and milestones. The ability to breathe new life into the ruins of the past will add a new dimension of creativity to your work, limited only by your imagination.

This whimsical folk art technique has been around for centuries and is accessible to anyone, using simple methods. The best way to learn this basic mosaic tile technique is to dive in. I'm a self taught artist and quite pleasantly discovered a whole new road to travel when I asked others to share their creative spirit, tips and tricks with me. We hope that you'll join in.
