Sixty-eight residential building permits have been issued this year.

Forty-six of those are for units in Jordan Valley Townhomes, the new development near the intersection of Old Highway 169 and Hope Avenue. 

The average price of a new home in Jordan this year is $137,105. Last year, the average was $130,000 higher than that, Jordan Finance Director Tom Nikunen said.

It just depends on the kind of homes being built.
