Well, it finally happened. I’ll be spending Thanksgiving with family, but not my own. This will be my first turkey day with my girlfriend’s clan.

I’m not too nervous, of course it is almost a week away. I think everything will go well, but I can’t help but picture scenes from “Meet the Parents” or movies like it – where the main character makes a fool out of himself in front of his lady’s family.

Any tips or pointers on how I might endear myself to her extended family? Or maybe you have an experience of your own that I should try to avoid?
