Several members of the Jordan City Council have suggested that traffic needs to be deterred from using Highway 282 as a route through Jordan. In a meeting earlier tonight, they did so again.
There should be another route around Jordan, Councilmember Sally Schultz said during a discussion about the proposed road-widening project at the intersection of highways 21 and 282.
Mayor Ron Jabs stopped her short, though, and interjected that a reliever road would be better than a complete bypass of the town.
"We don't want to make Jordan a ghost town, either," Jabs said.
