I don't know if State Rep. David Bly, DFL-Northfield, has been doing this for a long time, but I just noticed that he is the chairman of the Minnesota House of Representatives E-12 Education Working Group on Alternative Schools.

He is leading a committee that this month plans to discuss, among other things, understanding alternative schools' students, methods, assessments, and accountability. 

Bly represents House District 25B in the Minnesota House of Representatives. His district includes Helena Township.
