Heading into week three of the fantasy season, I’m already starting to get worried.

The team owners in the Otte Football League made a friendly wager this year, in which the owner of the team with the worst record by Christmas has to make dinner (not Christmas dinner – just dinner) for all the other team owners.

I agreed to the bet under the assumption that I wouldn’t be making any dinners. Instead, I’m 0-2 and in last place in the league.

Things have got to turn around this week – if not for my own pride, then for the fact that I really don’t want to make dinner. I’m not a very good cook, and my girlfriend (who I made co-owner of the Ocelots) has already informed me that she will not be helping with any meal preparation if I’m on the losing end of this bet.

There are 14 weeks of the season between now and Christmas, and I have got to right my ship. The thing is, the score predictions for this week have me losing by 20 points again.
