Six candidates will move past tonight’s school board primary and onto the ballot of the Nov. 6 general election.
Sheila Bauer, Tammy Will, Bob Vollbrecht, Dave Helke, Scott Erickson, and Kim Busse were the top six vote getters in the primary and will vie for the three open seats on the board in November. The seats are currently held by Will, Vollbrecht and school board chairman Ira Beckman.
Bauer was the top vote getter with 145 votes. Will received 141 votes, Vollbrecht received 116 votes, Helke received 98 votes, Erickson received 91 votes, and Busse received 69 votes.
Five candidates will not be included on the general election ballot: Robert Carman received 65 votes, Greg Leahy received 55 votes, Heidi Dibble received 45 votes, Jeff Thorsfeldt received 27 votes, and Dan Ray received 20 votes.
The Jordan School Board will hold a special meeting Wednesday night to approve the primary results and to set the ballot for the general election.
