Millers make it dramatic

If anyone saw the score of the Jordan Millers and St. Peter baseball game last night, they might have left early.

If they did, it was a big mistake.

Jordan spotted the Saints seven runs in the first two innings, but shut them down from there and come-from-behind in dramatic fashion to take a 10-7 win last night.

In the third inning, the Millers scored four runs, the big shots being back-to-back doubles by Brian Buesgens and John Noonan and a long home run to left field by Bryon Schroeder, his first of the year.

In the sixth, Troy Martin doubled in the go-ahead run, and the team tacked on two more insurance runs.

Troy Mahoney pitched five solid innings, retiring the final 10 hitters he faced. Greg Pazdernik relieved Mahoney and threw the final two innings, retiring all six hitters he faced.

The Millers play Sunday at Webster.
