Do you flickr? I do. Well I recently began to anyways. Flickr is a photo sharing Web site for amateurs and professionals alike. Check it out at www.flickr.com/. It’s a lot of fun. It’s good place to share photos. It allows for some good feedback from flickr viewers. And it’s easy… to post photos anyways. Taking a quality picture is a whole other story. I must warn you the photos on this site may cause a humbling affect on your artistic endeavor, but a little humility never hurt anyone, right? Here’s my point. I recently posted some pictures I took of one of my favorite bands, The Disco Biscuits, at the Green Apple Music and Arts Festival in Chicago on Earth Day weekend. As I browsed other shared photos of the band, I came across some professional pictures of the band. WOW they’re awesome. At first, I was embarrassed to have my pictures show up after viewing his, but I must admit my pictures held strong among some of the amateurs who posted pictures. And it gives me something to strive for. I’m gunning for you Aaron Williams of Atlanta, Ga. Nice work, check his site out at www.flickr.com/photos/adub/. There are some great photos from all over the world posted on this site. There are some really bad photos from all over the world on this site as well. I hope mine find a comfortable place in the middle. I don't use the high-quality gear of some the professionals, but I hope my creative content is good. Here is a shameless plug for my flickr page, www.flickr.com/photos/shogendorf/. As I stated in the beginning of this blog, I recently began sharing my photos on the Web, so please bare with me as I go through my old pictures trying to find some stimulating images. I don’t have many up right now, but I do have a quite a few photos I plan to add very soon. Check me out on the Web. Let me know what you think. Any wake boarders out there who are willing to take me out on the boat for an afternoon of photos? I love wakeboarding pictures and I have never shot (taken a picture of) a wake boarder before.
