The Jordan City Council passed an ordinance suggested by the Scott County Water Management Organization.

Jordan Mayor Ron Jabs said the 52-page ordinance is far too long and far too hard for the public to understand.

"There's got to be a better way," Jabs said.

On Monday, the second reading of the ordinance unanimously passed. A summary will be published.
