Musician David Young and fiancée Mary Hartmann were talking about their experiences growing up, and it turned into a rock opera. Hartmann grew up in Jordan, and Young grew up in New York.

Young’s “Woodstock: The Mystery of Destiny” makes its world premiere June 8 and also runs June 9 at Bloomington Civic Theatre, 1800 Old Shakopee Road. Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m.
