I came to work with a hangover this morning, but not the kind that you get from drinking too much. No, I came to work this morning with a vacation hangover.

You know the kind of hangover I mean – after a long weekend, it seemed twice as hard for me to get myself out of bed and into the office this morning. And now the day seems to drag on and on, as my mind often drifts back to thinking about vacations past, present and future.

I don’t know if I got drunk on sunlight or relaxing vibes yesterday, but I’m definitely feeling the lingering effects now. I can’t imagine the caliber of vacation hangover I’ll be going through after a week off in June.
