Permits for three summer events received go-aheads from the Jordan City Council tonight.
The Jordan Jaycees' Pork in the Park is scheduled from 11 a.m. June 23 to midnight June 24 in Lagoon Park. The permit allows a craft fair and a disc jockey. About 1,000 people are expected to show up for the event.
LivingStone the Tour is set to run from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 16 in the parking lot of the Mini-Met baseball park in Lagoon Park. The permit allows for bands to play on stage and food to be sold. About 150 spectators are expected at the Christian rock concert.
Motorcyclists begin registering for the 11th annual Harley Heaven Memorial Run begins at 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at Brewers of Jordan Bar and Grill. The ride, which benefits cancer hospices and motorcylist rights causes, leaves Jordan at noon. As usual, the permit asks for a police escort across Highway 169. About 100 participants are expected.
