Torii Hunter led the hometown nine with seven runs batted in against the overrated Detroit Tigers. He's the best center fielder in baseball, easily.

It took forever, but that's because the Twinks were always on base. And Hunter was always driving them in. Two home runs for Torii -- wow! I love how, after the Minneapolis newspaper rips the team for never being on base when the nos. 3, 4, and 5 hitters are up, the nos. 1 and 2 hitters have great days at bat.

Boof Bonser, another frequent Strib writer whipping boy, pitched well. He striking out good hitters on good teams, and I for one am proud to have him on my favorite professional baseball team. What a guy! (What a name, too!)
