You don't want to know how badly we lost last night. I didn't ask about the scores, because I didn't want to know. And player-manager Tom Steinbring put the book away faster than I've ever seen it disappear after a game.
Hoggsbreath, my usual softball team, is not cut out for the Blaine league in which we play. We got hammered last night -- twice.
I got to the game late, because Blaine is in the middle of nowhere, and ran onto the field during the second batter of the game. I played left field and third base in that game, going 1-for-2 at the plate.
In the second game, I pitched, gave up a lot of runs, and hit 1-for-2. On the year for this team, that makes me 3-for-8, a fact about which I'm not happy. I'm not being patient at the plate.
