A team of architects, landscape architects, planners, and other community design professionals might play a role in developing a vision of the future for downtown Jordan.
On Monday, Senior City Planner Joe Janish got the go-ahead from the Jordan City Council to apply for the Minnesota Design Team to visit Jordan next year. The team would analyzing the types of buildings located in the area, architectural characteristics of these buildings, infrastructure, aesthetics, green space, and other physical features of downtown Jordan.
If the application is accepted, the city would pay MDT $4,000, as well as providing food, supplies, and publicity for the group. The city would also arrange host families for the group.
The application deadline is in mid-August.
