I've written for bigger newspaper than the Jordan Independent. But I really like the little ones. A few years ago, while I was working for the Free Press in Mankato, I used to see several dozen of the state's tiny-circulation weekly papers in our office. I started reading them, and I couldn't stop.

I had to read them every week. It has become an addiction. I don't know what it is that makes me love these little, tiny papers so much, but I do.

Recently, I've been reading the Belle Plaine Herald and really enjoying it. The Montgomery Messenger is another of my favorites.

Which tiny, little papers do you read? Why do you like them? Are you addicted?
