No audience members came forward to speak at a public hearing in regard to the wellhead protection plan for Jordan's drinking water supply wells.
The plan, which City Engineer Carol Caron presented to the city council and a large audience (presumably attending to hear about the city hall, library and pool proposals), includes information pertaining to:
- the inventory of potential contaminants of concern with the city's drinking water supply management area;
- the data that ws considered in this portion of the plan;
- issue, problems, and concerns within the management area;
- goals, objectives, and action strategies to address the issues and concerns within the management area;
- a plan evaluation strategy;
- and a contingency strategy in the event of a water system disruption.
"Our system was deemed a not-vulnerable system," Caron said, "so that's the good news."
