I had an interesting conversation the other day. I mentioned to a friend that I read about a guy who will be proposing to his girlfriend in a Super Bowl ad next weekend. My friend told a story he had heard about another guy who proposed to his wife during halftime of a major sporting event and was rejected. It started a conversation with a few other people about proposals. Some of the people present were in favor of elaborate proposal schemes – tricks and plans involving friends and family. Others, myself included, were in favor of the traditional one-on-one, bended-knee proposal.
The entire conversation made me realize that there are hundreds of proposal stories out there waiting to be told. Since I am not married or dating anyone, I don’t have any cool proposal story or plans of my own to tell, but I’m guessing the readers of the Jordan Independent could share a story or two.
How did you propose, or how were you proposed to? What is the most elaborate proposal you’ve witnessed or heard about? Do you have any proposal plans you’d like to share? Do you prefer old-fashion marriage proposals, or something a little more exciting?
