I am not a fan of "American Idol," but I heard the show was kicking off it’s new season with contestants from Minneapolis. I was intrigued, but not intrigued enough to actually watch the show.

While flipping to the program during commercial breaks on other channels, though, I was able to see a few examples of the judges being less than friendly to would-be singers. I also heard that only 17 people were given a trip to Hollywood from this tryout.

I want to hear from all you "Idol" fans out there – did the judges give Minnesota a fair shake? Did any Jordanites audition? Do you know someone who you think should have auditioned?
