I don't mind city council meetings, especially when officials joke around a bit.

For example, Councilmember Barry Ullmann said he had to leave Tuesday night's meeting by 8 p.m.

A workshop followed the regular meeting, and Ullmann could stay for some of the workshop. But the council's group photo -- the first one including new councilmembers Jeanne Marnoff and David Hanson -- was the last order of business on the agenda.

At the beginning of the workshop, Councilmember Jeremy Goebel immediately piped up that the photo ought to be the first thing on the workshop agenda. They changed the agenda.

"People want to know what Barry looks like," Goebel quipped.
