Surfing the Web for all things Jordan, I came across the St. John the Baptist Catholic School Web page, http://www.stjohnsschooljordan.org/history.htm [1].

The above link is to the school's history page, because I found that page the most interesting. Some of the information is dated, as the write-up says the 1908 school is still being used today. But there are details about its early beginnings, old photos, and stories about the years after Jordan was founded. 

There is, of course, much more to be found on the Web site. Take a look.
