This front of humid weather has brought more than just hot days to Jordan. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Scott County, effective until 6 p.m. tonight.
The weather service has also listed Scott County has having a hazardous weather outlook. According to the weather service:
At 6:25 a.m. today, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for Scott County. Jordan was not specifically named as one of the cities to be watched.

The National Weather Service in Chanhassen has cancelled a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Scott County that had been extended until 6 p.m. The northeastern moving storm had produced golf ball-sized hail in Belle Plaine around 5 p.m.
At 4:38 p.m., Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm, capable of producing quarter-size hail, located 12 miles southwest of Henderson, or about 8 miles southeast of Gaylord, and moving northeast at 48 mph.
March is going out like a lion, and Jordan schools have heard the lion’s roar. The schools will be closing today at 1 p.m. today.
Jordan is forecasted to receive as many as 8 inches of snow through early tomorrow morning. The entire Twin Cities metro area is under a heavy snow warning through tonight.
The chance of precipitation today: 100 percent. Snow is falling right now and has been for most of this morning.
The National Weather Service has been predicting 3 to 5 inches of snow during the day today and chances of more snow during each of the following two days. In Jordan, at least 2 inches has already fallen.
Snow will be deeper in southern and southwestern Minnesota, according to radio reports.

Snow is predicted to fall in Jordan today. At about 8 a.m. today, the National Weather Service's Web site said this:
"Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 24. Northeast wind
between 3 and 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Total daytime snow
accumulation of less than one inch possible."
