Twin Cities motorists may encounter overnight lane and road closures between Monday, Dec. 28 and Wednesday, Dec. 31 as crews erect overhead changeable message signs (CMS) at two locations.
Intermittent closures will affect eastbound Interstate 694 at Victoria Street in Shoreview, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. on these dates, as well as eastbound Interstate 94 at County Road 19/Woodbury Drive in Woodbury.
During the I-694 work and closures all traffic will be routed up and down the adjacent ramps, while I-94 traffic will be reduced to one lane.
All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled for a later date in the case of inclement weather.
Changeable message signs are electronic signs that provide drivers with real time traffic information including crashes, lane closures and estimated travel times.
Real-time traffic, road conditions and travel information can also be found online any time at www.511mn.org, or by dialing 5-1-1.
