Well, I’ll admit it – I...
Back to page topWell, I’ll admit it – I voted for myself. But there are a lot of great Jordan people on this list, and even more great Jordan people who didn’t make it onto the list. There could easily have been 20 names up there.
I would have to say that if...
Back to page topI would have to say that if you are basing this poll on actual fame it would have to go to 2 individuals who are not listed. Granted, they no longer live in Jordan but they were born and raised here and their parents still reside in town.
~Jennifer Baldwin Peden & Christina Baldwin~
The other individuals would fall into more of an infamous category...nonetheless, they still made 'the list'.
"Popular" is a relative term...
Back to page top"Popular" is a relative term -- interpret it as you please. I like your definition, but I hadn't thought of it that way. This poll is definitely up for debate.
You don't have to be famous to be popular, in my mind. That's how the list was written. Although everyone on the list lives in Jordan right now, it is meant to be -- and clearly is -- an incomplete list.
Good point well taken, bluemoon07. Any other suggestions of people who should've been on the list are very, very welcome.

I had to wonder like...
Back to page topI had to wonder like EVERYONE else in town. Who are they?
Well I goggled them only to find out that they are actress for local theaters’. Sweet. I guess maybe they are more famous now that their mom is running around town telling everyone that they are famous. Well I guess that’s what mom’s do.
Looks like your kids enjoy their career, nice job.
Also in the 'other' category...
Back to page topAlso in the 'other' category we could go with;
*JHS Boys Baseball Coach Kyle Johnson
*JHS Girls Basketball Coach Paul Lambrecht
*JHS Girls Volleyball Coach Colleen Chambers
All of whom led their respective teams to the state tournament this past school year~
True. There are so many...
Back to page topTrue. There are so many teachers and coaches who are popular that we just couldn't fit them on the list. Same thing with politicians, or elected officials.

Easy now. I don't see...
Back to page topEasy now. I don't see Mathias' name on the list. I do appreciate the compliments, although I am far from the most popular person in town. Just think of all of the people Jane Breimhorst and Bob Wolf know, for example -- they've been in Jordan far longer than I.

"The Most Popular" is a...
Back to page top"The Most Popular" is a difficult decision and I'm not sure any of those listed would qualify - just kidding!! I did vote for "other" though, for the same reason as kylelee1971. There are so many people that I would consider very popular that go relatively unnoticed as they do their things day to day to help out around town without asking or wanting any recognition.
You know, I agree. It’d be...
Back to page topYou know, I agree. It’d be great to win the popularity contest, but there are so many great people in town that it’s hard to pick just one. Even just in my daily life, I get to meet some great, and popular people – police officers, teachers, firefighters, and other Jordanites without titles.
My vote would have to be for...
Back to page topMy vote would have to be for Michael Donovan(owner of Brewers)
I based my vote on the most...
Back to page topI based my vote on the most recognized in Jordan and for me it's Barbara Johnston. I can spot her walking from a few blocks away. If I was going with the most well liked, I don't think I could make a decision. There are several people in the community that do a lot for us and they should all be appreciated for their efforts.
Who is this Bob Wolf guy...
Back to page topWho is this Bob Wolf guy anyway. For one the CEO of UBS Americas and second a person who got Barack Obama into the presidental race for the White house. I mean this guy start Barack off on the campain. Follow the link below to find out how. Thank you Bob Wolf for Barack Obama.

Not to get everyone talking in Jordan, but maybe there are more Bob Wolf's out there. I don't think that person in the story is our Bob wolf. Our Bob is just a regular guy around town. Bob that will cost you $0.25 at the next meeting.
Does Bob have a son that would have been 45 yrs old last spring? Maybe?
To funny :-}
Well it is nice to see that...
Back to page topWell it is nice to see that Bob's son RJ (Robert Wolf) is doing so well. Maybe we have another popular person from Jordan besides the Baldwin girls?

Back to page top... not on the list. Sorry.

If you are going for the...
Back to page topIf you are going for the most famous Jordanites, I can't believe no one has mentioned the sisters that every Jordan male will never forget: The Dahm Triplets.
Their resumes include: Playboy, TV show "Boy Meets World" in '99, Reality shows "House Wars" and "Renovate My Family," and Game show "Family Feud," And in advertising.
And Erica is married to Dr. Phil's son.
They have to be the most famous people that grew up in Jordan.
Most popular: Jiv Pauly.
Best football announcer. Ever.
The Robert Wolf referred to...
Back to page topThe Robert Wolf referred to in the aforementioned article regarding Barack Obama has absolutely no affiliation with either Bob Wolf or his son RJ Wolf from Jordan. The results of this poll show that those who voted seem to know or have voted for Bob Wolf, and therefore should know he and his family are quite conservative, and whoever decided to accredit Jordan's Bob Wolf with launching Barack Obama's campaign is laughable. This being said, I suggest he or she confirm claims made with a more reliable source before assuming the utmost credibility as google.com.
"I don't think that person...
Back to page top"I don't think that person in the story is our Bob Wolf," wrote drjwater in that post. "Our Bob is just a regular guy around town." I think the writer was just trying to point out some irony.

Back to page topIt's good to see Melinda listed in this pole - She really made an impact in Jordan while she was Miss Jordan. She was just honored with the Academy of Math and Science scholarship and the Scott & Abbie Thiss Scholarship at Normandale as she pursues her degree in Biomedical Engineering. Good Luck Melinda.

Back to page topAlthough she probably wont win, its cool to see my sister on the list. Working with the parades as she did her Miss Jordan stuff was a pretty cool experience and I'll most likely never ride in a truck like the ones Ford Motors lent to us ever again. GO MELINDA!!!!!!!
