The Scott County Meth Task Force wants your time.
For the third consecutive year, the Scott County Meth Task Force is hosting its most significant fund-raiser of the season – Tee It Up For The Task Force golf fund-raiser Sept. 18 at Stonebrooke Golf Course in Shakopee.
One special feature of the day's event is a live auction, in which attendees bid on cool stuff.
This year, though, the Task Force is looking for some new donations of time. Do you have a talent, a special skill or just some good old fashioned hard work to give? For example, could you donate your time toward painting a room, landscaping, providing a personal chef party, detailing a car, serving as a personal chauffer for one evening in a cool vintage car, giving a massage or more.
Everyone has something they do well; why not donate a little bit of that skill to the Task Force? From lawn care to interior decorating, from personal shopping to electrical wiring, if you contribute the gift of your time, the Task Force can continue its educational programming such as “Shattered,” sponsoring anti-drug outreach activities in schools, and making sure that the message is clear: Choose Life, Not Meth.
