By “we,” I’m referring to the vendors at the farmers market, going into our third year. We will again be located near the intersection of highways 21 and 282 in the former St. John the Baptist Catholic School parking lot. We will be starting earlier this year, running from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, June 21 through October 25. The school’s fifth- and sixth-grade students were at Eagle Bluff Outdoor Learning Center in Lanesboro. When the students came back to the regular weekly classroom grind, they had a chance to write down some of their impressions of their three days at camp. More than just business at Celebrate JordanApril 8, 2008 - 1:44pm — BrandonWhile the Jordan Independent was broadcasting live from their booth at Celebrate Jordan, a lot of other exciting things were happening at Jordan’s annual business fair. Bauer Dance and Gymnastics dancers performed in the commons area during the festivities: Hats were just one of the items for sale during the All-night graduation party beer and wine tasting night last week. There are also dining sites throughout Scott, Carver and Dakota counties. Dining services are available to adults ages 60 and older, and a donation of $3 for each meal is encouraged. The following is the dining menu for CAP Agency senior dining sites: Monday, March 31: Barley vegetable soup, sliced beef on a wheat bun, mustard packet, mandarin oranges, and a lemon bar. Hiring a new superintendent (and other happenings in and around New Prague)March 20, 2008 - 1:24pm — Mathias BadenHere's what's been going on in and around New Prague lately, according to the New Prague Times: - Craig Menozzi is the new superintendent for the New Prague school district. He's been a teacher, coach, administrator, and principal in Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan and Lakeville school districts for the past 29 years. "He's performed well at the minor league level, and he's ready to move up tot he majors," Jerry Walerius said, according to the Times. |
