The Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame announced that Jordan's John Breunig will be inducted into the 2008 Hall of Fame.

According to the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame Web site, the 46th Annual Induction Banquet will be held on Sept. 20 at the Glenn Carson Hall in the St. Cloud Civic Center. Social Hour is at 4:30 p.m. with the dinner starting at 5:30 p.m.

St. Peter defeated the Jordan Millers 4-2 on Wednesday night.

Troy Mahoney took the loss for the Millers as he gave up all four runs in six innings.

Jordan managed only six hits in the loss.

Their record is currently 6-7 on the season. 

The St. Benedict Saints lost to Montgomery on Tuesday night 4-3 in 10 innings to open their best of three playoff series.

Jacob Wolf was the hard luck loser as Montgomery's Derek Faushct hit a 10th inning walkoff double to score the winning run.

The two team will play game two of their series on Friday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Prior Lake. 

Fall practice for Jordan
athletics begins Monday, Aug. 11 for football, girls tennis, cross country and
volleyball and Jordan High
School.

Athletic fees for the 2008-09 season are $90 for grade 9-12 and
$60 for grades 7-8.

Physicals need to be taken before practice begins and fees need
to be paid.

The Jordan Brewers defeated Shakopee 8-7 on Wednesday night to improve to 1-0 in the Section 3B playoffs.

Jordan is the top seed in their pool with Shakopee and Prior Lake. Chaska, Green Isle and Victoria are in the other pool

By winning the League E playoff title, the Jordan American Legion team received the top seed in the District 3 Legion Playoffs from their league.

Jordan defeated Le Sueur Friday night 8-0 behind Joe Lucas' one-hitter to claim the league title.

They next will play on Saturday, July 26, at 5 p.m. against Norwood. 

If they win that game, they advance to the winners bracket to face the winner of Zumbrota and Lester Prairie at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 27.

If they loe to Norwood, they would play the loser of Zumbrota and Lester Prairie at noon on Saturday, July 27.

Terry Stier, 46, is a firefighter. He is serving his 23rd year with the Jordan Fire Department. Stier lives in the Wilson addition.
