Here's what's been going on in and around New Prague lately, according to the New Prague Times:

home. Bender's photo on a riding lawnmower was printed on page 7B of
the June 19 issue of the Times.
- Joe Shuster of New Prague wrote the book "Beond Fossil Fools: The Roadmap to Energy Independence by 2040."
- John M. Fitzgerald of New Prague died. He was a retired Scott County District Court judge and a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1957 to 1963.
- Food for the New Prague school district was a $1.2 million-plus operation last school year. The food service budget revenues are expected to increase to almost $1.6 million during the upcoming school year.
