Two of the newest additions to New Prague are likely to be a Mexican restaurant and a bakery.
After hearing complaints against and support for proposal last week, the New Prague City Council approved a conditional-use permit for the East Town Plaza strip mall to include restaurants in its leased spaces, according to the New Prague Times. The planning commission had recommended against the move.
Adding restaurants to the strip mall would keep it competitive, Councilmember Jennifer Flicek said. And Marv Deutsch said it would make it easier for his strip mall to entice people to come to New Prague.
The owners of the bakery do business at the farmers market in New Prague.
