The Jordan Parks and Recreation Commission is developing a master park plan. As an initial step in the process, the park board has invited a panel of regional park and recreation officials to share their plans and discuss how area residents can mutually support each others’ efforts.

Guest speakers include:

- Mark Themig, park program manager for Scott County;

- JeanneHoller, deputy refuse manager, U.S. Fish & Wildlife;

- and Tamara Simonich, operations supervisor, Minnesota Valley State Park, Department of Natural Resources, Jordan.

The meeting will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at the Jordan Government Center, 210 E. First St.

This project is sponsored through the Jordan Community Growth Options grant from 1,000 Friends of Minnesota, and citizens are invited to attend this and future park planning sessions.
